Day 19, September 5, 2002.
Ittie called yesterday with Douglas and Nicole, people we met in the plain from Singapore to Brisbane, and we agreed to visit if we were in the neighborhood. They live in Murwillumbah. We should wait at 10:30 by a sugarcane factory in the Neighborhood and Nicole should pick us up from there. But we were at 9 o'clock in Murwillumbah so we went to the center first. We had our pictures from the smartmedia card burned onto a CD in a computer store. When we at 10:30 walked to the car and Ittie got her phone to call Nicole, there were some people sitting on a terrace and one of them started to call, "he Ittie overhere!" It was Nicole who was gone shopping with her girlfriends and was waiting for our call.( I knew it would happen that we were walking in a strange city and somebody called Ittie). We followed her to her house, a beautiful house on a hill outside the town with a great view. Her little daughter Anthia liked Ittie and sat all afternoon on her knees. In the evening Ittie put her in bath and to bed. We had a nice dinner and talked a lot 'til Douglas was called away for work, he is a doctor. We went then to our Camper and went to sleep.

Day 20, September 6, 2002
We woke up at 6:30, had breakfast with Nicole and the kids, Douglas was gone to work already (hospital). At 8 o'clock left Nicole and Anthia and drove to the coast again. We had a nice route from Nicole to see the nice lookouts along the coast. Cabarila beach, Hastings Point, and the most east point of Australia, Cape Byron. After we enjoyed the view, we drove of the bult and looked for a camping in Byron bay. Clarkes beach holiday park, booked for two nights. After we found a nice spot we walked to the center of Byron Bay, very cozy, lots of terrace's and shops. In this town are lots of Hippie's and tramps. In a small park was free food for the tramps, smelled good. We talked with some locals (aboriginal's) who warned us to take good care of our belongings if we went to Sydney, very nice of them. Then we looked for the pub (hotel) of Paul Hogan (Crocodile Dundee) witch we found, but Paul wasn't there. Ittie wanted to say to him "I rekkenise you" on Double Dutch. Then we walked over the beach back to the camper.
