Day 3, August 20, 2002.

Arrival Cairns Airport about 9:30 am. We saw on the plain a movie that we couldn't import food in Australia so we told the custom we had cheese and ham. We could keep the cheese but the ham had to stay behind. We took a cab to the hotel, the driver asked me "you guys immigrating?" because our big suitcases, I told him "no I have a wife" We were at 10 o'clock at the hotel but our room was 14:00 p.m. available so we walked through Cairns and bought a simcard. After we came back in the hotel Ittie gave the cleaner a hand en we could in our room. We found out that our laptop was broken and we had a two our sleep. After we woke up we looked for a computer store to repair our laptop, had some Italian food and went back to the hotel. About 9:00 finaly to sleep.

Day 4, August 21, 2002

Early out of bed and breakfast in the hotel, the owner was glad we had vegemite on our cheese. We called for a cab and drove to Maui to pick up our Campervan. De cab driver had worked with a Dutchman and remembered some Dutch words like "Je moet je mond houden" After filling in the paperwork and fill the closets with our clothes we drove to the first camping (Left!!!) Cairns Coconut Resort about 7 km south of Cairns. On the camping we booked a tour to Kuranda, a village north of Cairns in the rainforest.
