Day 25, September 11, 2002.

We started driving 8:15 by the tourist route in the direction of Gosfort. It was cold (freezing) and raining. In newcastle we took a wrong turn and ended on the point by the sea, nice view. By an Information bureau we got some maps from the surroundings and in Gosfort we looked for a camping. Today we met the first Australian who we couldn't ask something. Ittie asked "Can I ask you something" and the man answered "No!". Ittie didn't know what to say for a moment but when we past him later on, Ittie called "Thank you for nothing". Lucky we could find the camping on our own. On the camping we were directed to our place by a sort of caravan-dweller. But he was very nice. We thought we found a nice and quiet camping this time, but the camping was laying next to a railroad, so the trains were coming almost through the camper. Anyway, we had a nice meal (Chickenburger) and a small sleep. The heater is burning, why? Its freezing, we're not used to that anymore after all those weeks. Today the first day without shorts and with a coat on. Tomorrow we go to Old Sydney Town.

Nice in bed

Day 26, September 12, 2002

Trains, so we waked up early, 6:15. We wanted to go to Old Sydney Town but that opened at 10:00 so we stayed in bed for a wile to cuddle. At 9 o'clock we left, and thanks to the Australian signposts we arrived at Old Sydney Town at 9:45 +/- 12 km. This was great. They build Sydney as it was at 1800, when the British brought their first prisoners here. The humans from that time were living there the live of that time. We were watching when the flag was been raised ( the Union Jack) en were spoken to if we were the prisoners about the rules and the clothes. Specially the woman had to ware skirts and not long pants. Of course they picked Ittie as an example. She escaped just on Flogging. The sergeant told her she had to ware a skirt and not trousers, Ittie started to make the buttons of her trousers loose. We had a great time and a lot of fun. and Ittie was famous over the hole park. You really feel back in time there, there was a sheep herder with a herd of sheep, who asked us if we wanted to buy meet without bones and grease. We took a cup of coffee at the inn, and had a chat with the soldiers who were eating. When we wanted to go further, a minstrel was singing in front of the inn. Ittie asked if he could Walsing Mathilda, he said that song we don't know here. Ittie said, yes you do I heard it on the radio. The man said, a radio isn't invented yet. But he knew the original song where Walsing Mathilda was made of. It comes from the time that England was in war with Spain in Holland. He song that for us. After we left Old Sydney Town we had a look in Woy woy were we eat Fish and Chips, and than back to the camping. Tomorrow we go to Woy woy to Ittie her Chat friend.
